This has been an interesting couple of days. I threw my back out on Wednesday night. How? well I was just sitting in a booth at PF Changs. Yep, that’s all it took. I set an appointment with my doc for today and spent all of yesterday in bed.
When I woke up today, my back pain was gone! Hurray! Except now I had a whole new and potentially worse problem. I have a cellutlitus infection in my leg. I had this same problem a year ago in my other leg, so I knew exactly what was going on. Most of my right leg is red and swollen, and hurts to stand on.
Last year I waited just one day to go to the doctor, and the infection moved so fast that it broke the skin. I spent four days in the hostpital. I couldn’t put weight on it for a week. Doc told me advanced cases leed to amputation. Not a good time.
Since I was able to get it treated right away this time around, I’m hoping this case will be less severe. The redness has already stopped growing. The antibiotics do hurt like hell though. Doc gave me a bunch of drugs, and let me go home.
Now here’s the reddiculous part. My car overheated on the way home. Nice huh?
Anyway, now I’m home, enjoying a flexeril-vicodin cocktail, and pouring through all the cool stuff all my online friends did fo me on my birthday. That really helped turn things around for me. Thank you all so much.
Hi TC: I’ve had cellulitis in my arm and in my foot twice. It stinks! I can’t believe your car overheated – well…, I can since it’s 101 degrees out. Your cocktail should help, and hey another year old is better than the alternative!
Oh my goodness! What a time. Things come in threes so you should have smooth sailing for awhile, no?
Wow! I knew something had to be up.
Glad you are home now.
Happy birthday!
Take some pictures again, ok?

Pop in a DVD and relax once you work through your birthday greetings.
